Welcome,
Why "nakore"? I once, years and years ago, lived in Paraguay, South America. While there, I learned to speak Spanish, Portuguese, and two dialects of Guarani... some of them better than others. Nakore comes from Guarani. Actually, it should be "nako re". Two words. What it means and how it's used are two fairly different things.
nako = chewing tobacco.
re = past tense.
In other words, chewing tobacco in the past tense or chewing tobacco that has already been chewed or that little wad of leaf material one spits out after chewing tobacco.
Now, why in the world would anyone choose that set of words to name a site? It makes more sense if you understand how it's used rather than what it literally means.
Nakore is used to express the "ultimate nothing". If you want to say "nothing" but want to really, really express that it is NOTHING and all caps just doesn't get it done, you use the word "nakore". After all, what is more nothing than chewing tobacco that has already been chewed.
Hence, this site is the ultimate nothing. Or, it is what it is and if you don't like it, tough. I never claimed it was going to be anything so you have no grounds upon which to complain.
Thanks for visiting.
